Stop overthinking and just do it!  When you first start working with VAs you need to hire 2 or 3 at once. It works because you are not committed to a lot of hours. Set each one an hour limit and give them a task. Then evaluate how they deliver!

There are some things you might want to start doing and there are some things you might want to stop doing. To find out what, start with the time audit worksheet! Remember though, it might not be so much “start doing” but “continue doing” what you enjoy and what you are good at and stop doing things that don’t require your specific skillset. Get moving!

Being present and being patient, and practicing mindfulness is so important if you want to successfully work with VAs. For some reason, we think working with VA’s is a quick fix. I’m here to tell you, it’s not. You have to have a plan!

Create a culture of leaders and don’t micromanage. Period! Once we get into a good rhythm, I want my VAs to just do it. In the beginning, of course, it’s different, but once you find that flow….let them go and don’t get in their way.
