Podcast Episode 9: Job Descriptions & KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)

I don’t have any employees. I used to have several employees, now I have over 10 virtual assistants on my team instead. VA’s have been the key to the success of my business and why I’m able to work less than 4 hours a day WHILE increasing sales.

I’m here to teach you exactly how I’ve built my business with VA’s and it starts with realizing VA’s are very similar to employees.

Back in episode 5 of the Clone Yourself podcast, I outlined the differences between employees and VA’s (and the similarities as well).

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that VA’s can’t read your mind, they aren’t some overnight magical solution to do the things that you don’t want to do, and that just like on-boarding new employees - VA’s will have some growing pains as they learn how to work with you best.

Now with all of this in mind, we’re getting closer to hiring our first VA. Since we’re looking at VA’s as if they were employees of our team, we need to put the time into preparing for them to be apart of our team in similar ways we would prepare for any employee that we hire.

AND… this begins with a job description and constructing KPI’s…

TIP: Don’t Overcomplicate it!
Don’t be afraid of job descriptions and KPI’s. We’re only intimidated about these due to our preconceived notion of what they mean. You’re the boss of your business though, so don’t do what people tell you to do… do what makes the most sense for you.

I’m here giving you ideas on how to make your life easier.. Take it or leave it but remember the best solution is doing what works best for you. I like to take a combo from what others have done and make it my own - and I think that would be the best solution for you as well.

So, just take what works for you from these suggestions provided and make it your own!

Remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint. With that in mind, here is your homework!
